I’ve got stuff to do so i won’t pontificate too much today :~)
Not too much of the list got done today. I did manage to do some bead mixes which probably counted as education as i got Fran to do all the weighing out for me. So that provoked conversations about grammes, weighing out the same for a mixture as is in a bag, making kit mixtures have the right number of beads in it, how to use the tarre button on the scales, costs etc. Its really important to me that the girls feel part of the business. Hopefully it will eventually become our full life and they need to feel they help to make it work, i think. Its not a case of them being slave labour (although it helps ;~) ) its a case of them knowing that what i do is an important part of our livelihood and that they can help. I grew up with a stay at home dad who worked for himself – it filled me with belief that i could do that – and now i do. So i think that is a good case for role-modelling.
Ooops – pontificated anyway.
Kate was over in the morning and we were talking about getting the big two skating more this year again. The D and E came over for the afternnon and that passed the rest of the day nicely.
Button is still alive, Josie is still dribbly, Amelie is – well, asleep in Fran’s bed, along with Maddy and Fran. Bless.
