A real gap at last.

January 11, 2005 by

Gulp. What’s the going rate for a tooth these days?

Maddy insisted i took this photo to show her disapproval at NOT having a wobbly tooth.

We’ve had a manic, but largely useful, day. I stayed up too late websiting with Jax last night so was sleepy really but Moo went off to nursery and Josie went back to sleep, Josephine arrived and she, her daughter and Amelie played beautifully all morning. It sounded a lot of fun.

That gave me plenty of time with Fran. We mainly dumped reading and writing for the day and had a mathsy day. First we finished off a reception level CGP book, its too easy for her but we’ve been doing it for the reading. Today she could decipher the questions for herself. The last section to do was on shapes, so once we had done it we got out the Geomags and spent ages with them.

prompted by Sarah using it last week, i broke out the Eduss maths again and she did all of it up to the end of Level 4 on geometry, without much help at all. I had to use the “Teach Me” to remember the difference between a rhombus and a parallelogram (and that was after i had to have emergency help from Alison on platonic solids) but Fran managed rhombus, parallelogram, trapizium and polygons up to 8 sides pretty effortlessly. Between a KS1 book, a maths leappad book, some sheets and Eduss, it was good fun and easy.

After that Fran’s friend E came round and they played till it was time to get Maddy and go to Tap. Maddy came out with a ring that her friend Mohammed had given her so they could play Aladdin and she could be Jasmin. Hmmmm…. :~D Oh yes, a ton of beads arrived and i had Fran and E doing sums to take it all up to my stock room! ROFL! Suckers!

Ballet and tap went well and then Fran’s tooth fell out :~D And she’s just been down for a little weep about it.
