Christmas starts.

December 15, 2004 by

Fran and Ammi were both hot and poorly overnight, including headgripping and wailing from Fran at 3am but both seemed utterly fine today. Bizarre.

So off we went to Maddy’s nursery singalong and very lovely it was too. Was sort of funny becauyse she is so much bigger and more confident than the 3 year olds there but she seemed utterly happy. She has centre stage facing the parents while most of them had their back to the mummies and she was so into it all. Made me laugh to hear her calling out all the “answers” like “JESUS!!!” etc – clearly she had done this before ;~) I had an utterly proud mummy moment because during Jingle Bells, they forgot to give her a bell. I held my breath and Maddy looked a bit floored, especially as she was dead opposite Fran and Amelie who did have them but then she just pretended to have one and joined in till someone spotted her. A year ago she would have crumbled completely. It was both beautiful to see and a good reminder to me that she CAN be trusted to cope more these days. She can’t always pull it off but she is a heck of a lot better than she was. She had a starring role in most songs (i think lots of the others wouldn’t join in!) and seemed really into it.

Its a shame the camera is poorly but these are the best i got.

Jingle that bell… hey!!!

A slightly distracted mincepie…

A snowman (???)

Must try and edit the one of her as lead Reindeer… nearly had hysterics at her “oh so politely” doing a no-contact shouldering of a small boy into line so she was in front!!!!

Hurtled home, cooked a quick snack, got Fran to do cards for the HE group (how cool is it to have kids you can leave to do something like that!) hurtled out to the HE xmas party, which was all very nice apart from the exploding balloons that made Fran cry, hurtled home, packed a zillion parcels, took delivery of my stock and discovered the only item i NEEEED and which i have promised a customer is on its way to me, is out of stock. Growl…

Hurtled out of the door again to post them and managed to collide with a crate between me, the door and my boob. Which was a trifle full.

Ouch.
