Actually i am sure there was more too but… last night i read the story of King Alfred and the Cakes to Fran and Maddy. It was so great to see Fran’s face light up as she recognised facts from the previous weeks timeline activity in the story – she was so thrilled to “know” about it already.
I’ve learned a lot about UK history already – i’m starting to be able to put Romans/Saxons/Vikings in order now and i never could before.
