Puddles and rubble.

December 8, 2004 by

Odd sort of a day in some ways, Christmas holidays come early really. Started the day by joining up with other local Puddlers who mostly, oddly enough, are not actually on MuddlePuddle at Activity World. Would go elsewhere except we don’t have anywhere else really. Anyway, it was extremely nice and we;’ve sort of decided to go once a month; kids socialised and ran off energy and the mums got an uncharacteristic opportunity to chat too, unofficial committee meeting. Really want to find us a different venue for other meetings, something to think about in the new year i think. Anyway, was lovely to catch up as i’ve not done any local HE groups since the day Rowan was born so that’s a while ago now!

After that the girls and i did quick errands, Staples and mini-Tescos and then came home for a very chilled couple of hours of CBeebies, currently back in vogue. And then we all went upstairs and very amicably tackled the bedroom, chucked out some broken crud, put things back together etc etc It looks nice, i feel better, there is more room. Actually we have got a pretty clutter free set of presents for them but i daresay other clutter will creep in so its good to prune. Spent the latter part of the day with some Christmas music on too, Fran said yesterday “pleeeeease can you buy some, because i don’t know any Christmas songs” and said it so plaintively that i had to cave!

Max was very late back as work is busy so not much else happened really but it was a chilled sort of day, much what i planned for this part of the year – i feel so okay knowing that i put a lot into the summer so this time is quite justifiably relaxed.

However, i do want to look at a few goals for the early part of next year later for Fran and Maddy, as i do sometimes, so i’ll possibly blog those later. Had a beautiful moment with Josie and Max earlier, she is smiling and “talking” now and i just adore her. Getting chubby too.

Ammi is brilliant at the moment, unutterably cheeky but brilliant, really into letters and numbers and shapes and colours. Very cool. But… WHERE does the naughtiness come from????
