… a line from the back of a box (bought under extreme duress and distress) in Toys R Us tonight.
Both girls, NEEEEEd the horrific Barbie singing princesses from The princess and the Pauper and given they requested almost nothing else, i gave in. Now, leaving aside the pink, sparkly naffness of it, does the line “Mattel and the Entertainment Industry Foundation are worknig together in the US to raise awareness for arts education for children” not get somewhat um… how shall i put it.. leave it self open to query… bearing in mind they have utterly barbarised a classic story in the name of pink sparkly commercialism.
Call me a cynic… (plus i reckon i will be knifing both singing Barbies by nightfall!!!)
