One Week old today.

However, i don’t think i have cried today, so that is good!!!

This wee girl has so read the manual – slept yesterday from 5pm-12.30am (oops!) fed, slept till 4am, fed, slept till 7am, fed, slept till 11.30am!!!! I’m not sure i should tell my sister this at all! I can hardly believe she is a week old, more amazing is i can hardly believe only just a week ago i was so stressed and upset and full of worry and anger about it all. Even though in many ways my worst fears came true, somehow it happened in a way i can handle and of course, i love her. So that is okay :~) Plus feeding is much better today and if Alison can get a cracked nipple at 13 months, then i think i won’t beat myself up too much ;~D

I love the way you get to watch a baby open up in the first few days – initially her circle was only big enough for me but it widened to include Max while we were in hospital before closing right back down when we got home. Once we were home she was so much more settled though, so obviously knew the girls and his voices and over the last couple of days she has been happy to be awake and lying on a pillow, or looking at the girls or be cuddled by Max – beautiful to watch her become part of the family.

We’ve done well this week, the girls have been out plenty and are happy and relaxed. They’ve made it to Snowbabies and Rainbows and HE Skating and dancing, to the park and the playground and the garden centre. Tomorrow i finally get to meet Rowan (who is 4 weeks and smaller than Josie STILL!!!) and we also get to show Josie off to max’s family this weekend too. Hopefully that won’t be too draining for us in general as i’ve really enjoyed my quiet “babymoon” and plan to get right back to it after the weekend.

Thanks for all the cards btw folks – so lovely :~) NTL alleges to be fixed now but personally *I* still can’t email!

So today. Max took the big two to HE skating and Kate accompanied them. Maddy wasn’t too pleased and didn’t join in but Fran had fun. Then we had a quick lunch and went to dancing, which was a roaring success – i was slightly embarrassed when the new half terms music ended with the Angelina theme and my three knew every single step of the title sequence! ROFL!!! Since we have been home they have played, chilled and danced. The cafe is still going strong but possibly usurped by the tap uniforms we bought today ready for starting that next week!!!!

Ammi was lovely while the girls were out today – she and i had fabulous time together, cuddled on the sofa and read 9 stories. She is just SO brilliant with Josie and really “minds” her if i go out of the room.

And finally, Maddy getting another cuddle…

We managed the Just So Leopard last night (i can really recommend the version at The Red House atm, the illustrations are lovely) and started The Faraway Tree – Fran is most delighted as it has a Frannie in it – have we missed the biginning though – should we have read The Enchanted Wood first? Anyone an Enid buff???? Going to aim for some Aesop tonight. I’m sure i can keep up the CM even if i don’t think anything else will happen for a while.
