Bumpity bump.

Ammi was awake from 2am till 7am this morning. Grrrrrrrr…. she hasn’t stopped all day either, starting to wonder if she needs sleep at all????? Max, bless him, looked after her or there would have been a murder done here i think!

Anyway, we managed a fairly pleasant day today. First of all i gave Fran a wordsearch of “-all” words and she enjoyed those, then i dictated a little sentence using some of them and she went away and wrote it out perfectly, which was pretty good. It was all spelt right and nicely written too which i was most delighted by. Small things on days like today…. every little helps.

She and Moo spent ages on the DK Oz game and were really helping each other out while i did a bit of this and that, can’t exactly recall how the morning went past to be honest.

After that it was dancing which is a firm favourite now; Ammi had a slight panic when another little girl, who i would say possibly has some special needs, ran up to her and screamed into her face. Ammi doesn’t really do aggression from others particularly well, odd really, given her ability to be agressive at times! I tried really hard with her; i’ve never known a child so able to be utterly infuriating as well as so lovable and i do feel i haven’t done a great job of mothering her up to now sometimes. I do love her, but a bit like with Fran, i have found her a hard little person to be around. Perhaps i should just look forward to it all sorting out, like it did with Fran. I’ve no idea why it is – personality, birth legacies, something anyway. I just feel a bit of a failure about my tolerance levels with her really. But on the other hand, she got the best babying of all of them; slings, breastfeeding, intentional co-sleeping – probably ought not to beat myself up overmuch. Plus i’ve handled sleeplessness over her eczema far better than i ever handled Fran’s noctural behaviour.

When we got back my bead delivery had finally arrived so we did business studies and maths (!) better known as unpacking boxes, counting packages and ticking off stock which Fran LOVES doing, then i parcelled everything up and Maddy stuck on labels. I like them to feel part of it, since they like doing it, and i feel it makes them understand a little bit of what i do to bring in extra pennies. And obviously the 4 large boxes it arrived in made ideal houses, so we did Technical Studies and Architecture today too….. ;~)

Finished off the day with The Coming of Arthur (familiar to the girls as the Disney Sword in the Stone) and The story of William Tell (which apparently Granny had already told them.) I’m SO glad we are doing the CM thing, its actually working quite nicely at bedtime. Then more Amelia Jane.

Hoping that being up to date with my orders will now let me relax enough to go into labour sometime this weekend or at least by Wednesday. Max is chuffed, he has been offered a new job and he seems more relaxed already, so hopefully things will look up a bit. And i believe my sister is home too. (2 pushes…. TWO!!!!! Is there ANY justice in this world????)
