Ice and Icing.
Today has flown by. It started early with kate coming for a cuppa before taking Fran off for her lesson. You have to love a coach who will do a personal door to door service! :~D Amazing what you can get someone to do for an early morning brew :~D Well Fran was apparently delighted with her lesson and worked really hard, she must have because she didn’t last the full Snowbabie session. Her hands were cold though, i must get to H&Ms this week and look for new fleece gloves.
Zoe was a star *waves at Zoe since she stumbled on the blog last week!!!!* and at one point was towing all three round on separate toboggans – 8 stones worth of child over ice can’t have been easy! Ammi used double bladed skates this week but was tripping about quite happily at times without anyone to hold her up! I’ll have to look out for a pair of small white boots for her now, the ones Fran and Moo used have really had it.
After that we went to Sainsburys to get baking stuff and diesel – the new car takes £60 worth of fuel :~O and when we came home we had lunch and then they made cakes with Zoe – i hate baking so its lovely to have someone else to inflict it on :~D While Moo was doing her batch Fran and i did a bit of reading, writing and sums and it was a good (and quick!) session that was quite painless. She had remembered all the vertical addition too which was great and her writing was much better than yesterdays. Even better, first thing this morning she managed to read a Ladybird First Level story, The Ugly Duckling, from start to finish with almost no help at all. We were both so chuffed about that. Moo also did a lovely Hama girl from a pattern.
Finished off with a rendition of The Tempest in prose form – i directed the play at school and todays version had some of the verses in it, made me feel quite nostalgic. And now i am off to tidy up before going out for more reflexology, since all the girls are wiped out. My sister is going to be induced next friday – gulp. I’ve had a couple of nights better sleep but at least all that insomnia helped me get on with reading; i’m up to 47 Big Read books now. And last night i managed to tidy up the design of Beadmerrily a bit in preparation for the shopping cart. I’ve not uploaded it yet but i liked how it looked so i can get on with improving the content. And i’m a bit hooked on the look of those rockin’baby slings too… they take Paypal – pretend money!
And then we had lunch ;~D
