Tumbleweeding away at Blogger…

Right – i have one question – would WordPress (assuming i could even set it up!) let me download my posts in date order into a word file? I really want to be able to do that so i can keep a bound copy to flick through but its a major hassle.

Anyway, i’m about to start tidying, so i thought i would blog now.

Fran and i had a bit of a chat today about how we are going to “do” Mondays and Tuesdays; basically i explained to her that i would feel a lot more relaxed if some “stuff” got done at those times so that we could both relax for the rest of the week. It doesn’t have to be anything specific, just some time doing something constructive together like we used to. Anyway, since she is only £3 off the Canal boat she decided to do some of the “basics” first thing, so we worked on a sentence of writing, read a couple of books and did a few sums, notably getting into vertical addition quite by accident in response to a question from her. She seemed to get the idea of that quite well but we just did them together so she didn’t feel negative if they were hard. After that she and i spent AGES on a 120 piece British Isles jigsaw (its a lovely one by Orchard Toys) and then we read a variety of bits on the body from different books we had. All that was intermingled with lots of playdough, dolls house playing and a few other things.

I didn’t manage Ammi so well today – its harder when Moo isn’t about really but Ams was also tired and eventually had a nap. I felt a bit bad about her though.

Maddy is enjoying nursery although she is utterly shattered by it and has taken to sleeping till gone 8am (unheard of in the other two!) Today the taxi finally worked but she isn’t happy about it so if we have problems next week i will stop and just take her myself. Trouble is, if i have a section its really going to be vital for a while. :~/ Unless she stops going. One interesting thing is she has taken to questioning Fran closely about what we have done at home, whereas Fran never bothers to ask what Maddy has done. So i am hopeful that means she is spotting that we “do” things at home. They took her swimming today and she is zonked now.

DVD is on now – everyone is tired, everyone but Moo has a cough and the house is a pit, so i better go and get on i think.

Oh yes, i need a sling. I’ve had a couple of different ones – one Holly gave me which disappeared but was very full of fabric and had a huge ring; i liked that but i like an “Osiris?” “Osis?” one i borrowed better because it had less fabric and i felt like the baby was more secure when it was little. Anyway, the one new thing this baby is going to get is a sling, so can i have some recommendations. I’m giving my baby bjorn boring one to my sister as i have a rubbish shoulder and it hurts but i do need something snug (and very easy to put on so the single loop of fabric thing works for me) and it needs to accommodate my erm… circumference!
