Oh well, things are a bit better then.

Max isn’t going away (i’ve locked him under the stairs) so i’m feeling a bit better. I’d forgotten what a basket case i am at the end of pregnancy (mind you, last time i was for the whole 9 months!) but i’m kind of feeling under pressure to produce now, so obviously it will be 2 weeks late. Mind you, as of today i have written on my notes that the babe is 1/5 engaged and i’ve NEVER had that written on there before in 4 pregnancies!!!! I seriously need to sleep; i’ve got pregnancy insomnia that is making it impossible to sleep before 2am for some reason; last time i was inhabiting the fluff chatroom but this time i have tried really hard to stay in bed and at least rest. Unfortunately Ammi is having night terrors every single night at the moment and i’ve got to the point where i can’t sleep till she has woken up and then by the time you add 3-4 wee trips in, thats not a lot of sleep. Mind you, Maddy was better for a good sleep luckily.

It was, therefore quite remarkable that the single most uttered phrase today from various people was “wow, YOU look well!!!!!” – evidently i look well on pregnancy :~D A close second was the number of times people told me how alike the girls are. Are they REALLY that alike? I know there is a passing resemblance but i’m starting to feel like i’m tote-ing a genetic freak show about with me!!!!

While i’m at it, what would Freud make of the costume decisions in this photo i wonder…

Prima Donna, Cinderella and Devil’s Accomplice!

In order to fend off what was in danger of being a bad day, we went out lots; first to the HE skating group where Ammi learned to walk unaided on skates and got a lesson with Auntie Kate and then later to dancing which they all really enjoyed again. I’m thinking of letting Ammi wear the Devil costume to it next week to counteract all the 2 year olds dressed in several layers of flouncy pink!!! Its so terribly her!!

All of them spent ages with Brio today making very complex tracks; Fran set herself a challenge of a “no straight pieces” wobbly track and worked really hard on it. Next week we are going to start letting her have an intense private skating lesson and Kate is going to start on the drawing thing with us. I’ve put the big twos (oh no, i can’t work the apostrophe out there at all!) names down for tap lessons today which they are quite excited about, we can always pick up ballet later if they want to.

When i thought about it, yesterday had better bits too. Fran and Maddy loved making lasagne with Zoe and i got a nice cuddle with Maddy and Ammi to read “What shall we do with the BOO HOO baby????” It was slightly unfortunate that i was being a grumpy cow bag and also managed to reduce Ammi to tears for playing on lino with water and bath toys (therefore making A MESS……*rolls eyes at self*) but hey, no one is perfect. And Fran had a great time at Rainbows; she is starting to look big there now :~)

Two days into the new car and no dumbo moments yet. I feel terribly big and powerful in it!!! ;~D
