Ingest Individually!

Oh dear, the title was hard to find this evening. So it refers, rather remotely, to the little bear shaped water bottles i bought in Lakeland today. They are for water only, me having decided i would quitel ike it if the girls drank more water rather than juice or milk, and the agreement is they can only have water in them (saves me washing out nasty milk or them getting ruined with juice residue). I really want them for occasional, we are off in the car and need drinks quickly, type bottles where everyone doesn’t need their own version of some sippy cup or other, but they have been a huge hit today.

While in Lakeland i also got a replacement for out box cheese grater and 101 cookie cutters; they have been used for playdough today but i might make up some salt dough tomorrow and have a go at that. It was a nice trip into town, although i couldn’t get exactly what i needed but we had a pleasant time anyway. Everyone was well behaved and enjoyable to be with and i felt rather proud of them really. Moo made an entire shop laugh though; we went into Bakers Oven to get a cake each as everyone was flagging a bit and when we got to the counter she looked at the assistant and then said, in clarion tones, “Mummy, that lady has got a VERY nice body!!!” I didn’t know quite what to say!!!! I think it beats the Wildlife Park moment which i don’t think i ever blogged but went like this:

“Mumy, why doesn’t that lion have hairy on its face?”
“Well its a girl lion. Boy lions have hair like daddy has a beard but girl lions don’t. I don’t have a beard do i?”
“Noooo.. .you just have spots.”

Hmmm.. thank you Moo!

Other than that it has thundered a lot, rained a lot, i have a huge headache and we have all tidied up a bit. Moo recovered quickly but we have put off the Raine Drops till next week to avoid giving them the bug, so that is a treat to come hopefully.

I’ve been having a bit of a holiday from the CM stuff; its harder now that Ammi doesn’t have a nap and we have been very into the Ark Tales but i might get back to it tomorrow.

My main ponder of the day has been a sort of timeline in my head of the things that have been going on in my life or head since i was 16; sort of what has been the main preoccupations of my times or thoughts that might have shaped who i am. Its been quite interesting and it was enlightening really but i won’t bore you with it . The reminder from commenting on Nic’s blog of a time where i felt emotionally very dead and disconnected from the interests of other people who i had grown up with prompted me to wonder why that was and i think i have identified it now. Its certainly been an eye-opener. I came to the conclusion it was a place that Max and i had in common and is probably why we understand each other very well and did at the time we met. Its also made me realize i have had an extremely busy 14 years, most of them in the company of my husband!!! I was talking to my friend Anne this evening, mainly about both being pregnant but she had such a different life post school to me, travelling and then about 8 years at Uni. I wouldn’t say we have ended up enormously different from either each other, or what we were once but i think she has had a more peaceful road to understanding herself. Its been interesting.
