Endless Entertainment.

Funny old day today really. The weather was pleasant and we planned to garden but i was completely exhausted all day and just had to sleep to catch up. Fran and i did make it into town where we got a piece of denim for our Africa display as well as bondaweb to make it work. Never used that before so i am slightly nervous as i am going to do that bit of it tonight. We had a very nice time in an art resources shop and got lots of Dover Publication stencil books in African animals, designs and various other bits as well as some nice Berol markers. She has coloured almost all day, mainly a Mr Man book where you get a small representation of the picture to use as a colour guide and then you do the big one. Much of the rest of the day involved old cds and the girls fairy dancing (or in Ammi’s case headbanging) to music that i’ve not heard for an awfully long time.

They are in bed now having had the latest in our Tales from the Ark book. Its a smallish selection from the one i have linked too, which i will probably get because they are thoroughly enjoying them. All the stories explore faith, trust, tolerance etc in a really easy going non-moralising fashion at i am enjoying them a lot. For a fairly chilled out approach to “Christian Perspectives” or indeed just generally living in a community, i think they really work. I’ve talked to more than one person about the types of religious literature that i like/loathe but i can honestly say, these do it for me just fine.

While in town we had to do a pilgrimage to Katharine of Aragon; she can’t remember as much now as she had at her finger tips a year ago but it really touches me how she likes to visit there and kneels down at the grave in a scarily reverent fashion. Bless. When we got back Max did baking with them all and then the big two worked their way through Cloud Nine again. Its too easy for Fran now, i shall have to look for something new.

I met an old friend in town today who i have been out of touch with, so that was really lovely.

And my final contraversial question of the day is… Test Cricket… why??????
