Lovely day.

Still too hot but lovely anyway :~)

This morning the girls played in the sandpit for ages and ages. Admittedly they fully “sanded” the patio but they had fun and they tried really hard with sweeping, so i can’t complain. It was really nice to hear them all playing so nicely together. Then just as i had suncreamed them thoroughly, they all got too hot so they came in.

Moo and Fran sat down to Hama and both made lots of lovely things. Fran particularly enjoyed using the Design Programme again and drew out and made some really nice stuff. Moo did her own version of Pooh on a teddy board, then copied a Piglet pattern, albeit with a lot of support. Her triumph of the day was probably a rather beautiful version of a rainbow Fran did, where she mirrored the pastel colours on one side with autumnal ones on the other. I was well impressed with it. (I’ll try do some photos later.) Even Ammi joined us and spent a lot of time filling in bits of boards with beads. I was carrying on with the heraldry designs so we had a nice time all together.

While we were busy Max made a new enclosure for the rabbits. They both now live on the patio with a hutch each and a shared area in between. They seem very happy. It made me laugh really; the design was mine and once i had designed it (in essence, i don’t dabble in measuring!) Max got the stuff, did the proper plans and built it. He is definitely the “completer finisher” in this particular team.. but i’m not quite sure where that leaves me!!!

Fran asked what a centimetre was today, so we discussed centimetres, metres, kilometres etc – then somehow that moved on to thousands in general. Max did a quick tutorial and i was really impressed that Fran worked them out up to 100,000. Even Max didn’t know quite where you go after a trillion though and i don’t want to think about where the limit of my knowledge was there!!!

Just off to read How the Camel got his Hump!!! (ROFL – we loved this!!! I need to add a Just So book to my Amazon wishlist!)
