The girls played in the paddling pool all day.
Fran did three sheet things at her request.
I read them a story about Alexander the Great.
I read them Marriage of the Rain Goddess.

Fran got her SF newsletter and coloured in a picture of a hot air balloon, meanwhile Maddy drew her own. Apparently tomorrow we have to buy a balloon and do a papier mache one.. .sigh… i hate mess.

I resolve to take no further part in intelligent debate till i can do it properly. Its psychologically too exhausting to think this hard and still cock it up!!!!

Oh yes, we potted the Avocado, drowned the garden and rehoused the rabbits in their new hutches. Look i can lie on the sofa all day and still achieve things!

Went up at bedtime to discover the kids had set up a competition in their room. Fran had written an incredibly neat name list, with her name at the top, including her surname for the first time.
