Phew.
Well we pulled that round. It was certainly NOT helped by me waking up with that horrible stiff feeling you get when pregnant and allyour muscles are just relaxing into a state of collapse every night- its my least favourite pregnant thing really. So i was seriously crabby, Moo was tired.. blah blah…
Anyway. So first of all we suddenly remembered that we had a house inspection at 12.30 – so we hared round like mad things getting the place respectable – and tbh, that made me feel lots better. The girls have tried really hard with their room this week and i frankly bribed Fran with an offer of a Sylvania Family Club membership if she would help me tidy up – and she really delivered. She worked like a trooper and even shared some understanding with me when Ammi messed up somewhere she had just tidied. She got her membership :~) However, before that both she and Moo had spent time on a variety of computer games, Pooh Bear Nursery, Zoombinis, Cloud Nine etc etc. I’m planning on cracking open the Eduss again this week at some point i think. Fran did a pretty bead pattern, Ammi did drawing, Moo did both.
Max came home for lunch to check we were all still in one piece (lol!) and after lunch the girls and i started on some plaster cast shapes to decorate this week. Its part of a present from my parents that she got yesterday so she was deeply keen to have a go.
Then we did some reading. Fran worked very hard practising a Bob book – she gets 20p per perfectly read book and she is really trying hard. All the 20ps are going towards a Sylvannian family something or other apparently. She’s going to have to work hard! Moo also did some stuff – i wrote matching cards for her for all the words in the first two Bob books and she played with those – it seemed to work – trouble with Moo is she can remember so easily i am not quite sure what is real reading – and as it turned out, not much was! But we got there with the cards and she did well.
Moo also managed an accidental poo on the toilet tonight, although the “no nappies” trauma that it involved was tbh too much to cope with repeating. Sigh… oh well, at least i am not fretting that school starts in Sept and she is going to be humiliated by it :~/
What else? Oh – Dad gave Fran a box of Roald Dahl books for her biday so we started reading Matilda tonight (although she sounds more Poppy than Matilda!) – the first chapter was all about loving reading good books – Fran listened very hard….
