Turned it around… just.
Well, i have no idea what was up with Moo but i sat her on my lap while we called nursery and then the taxi firm – and she just lightened up the minute she knew she wasn’t going. I was slightly depressed by the nursery woman saying words to the effect of “make sure she knows she is coming tomorrow so she doesn’t think she can choose” but there you go. How we as a society think that we can expect the abused 10 year olds of the world to bother confiding in an adult if we won’t listen to them say they want to be with mummy at 4, i really don’t know.
So we all curled up with The Whale and the Snail to read and that was lovely. Then the freebies from Amazon arrived and really saved the day! We read The Carrot Seed (okay FIARers HOW do you get a weeks stuff out of THAT????) and Harold and the Purple Crayon and then we got stuck into the Finding Nemo game – which was good and we all had fun – but my graphics card is now too slow to play one of the endgames which is a pain. The girls surprised me by being impressed with the Playthinks book and did several puzzles and all in all we recovered. Then we all snuggled up for Monsters Inc when Ammi woke up.
Not sure where we go from here with nursery really – we shall have to see i guess. Maybe she has just had enough. She said she wanted to do “work” with me and Fran.
Sometimes it feels like you just get one bit “cracked” only to discover what you actually did was discover a real crack somewhere else!!!!
