Perhaps i should try again…..

Having had some hot chocolate with a marshmallow and read the girls a story, I’ve decided i have slightly overlooked some more positive elements to the weekend so i might try again.

Yesterday was so nice that we went into the garden first thing and mowed etc – then we put the rabbits into the run together for the first time….. and they um… discovered one another. I think its safe to say Peter’s hormones have not yet subsided as it took him less than 30 seconds to get his first hump!!! And about another 30 to get his second… and third and fourth!!!! Which Max and i found hilarious and embarrassing and the girls thought very funny – “look they are playing ring a ring a roses…” “look they are wrestling!” and “Daddy, why has Button got her bottom on Peter’s face????”

Hmmmmmm….. i was slightly perturbed that Max told them he was shaking cos he was cold (!?!?!) as i would have explained a little more properly – rofl – but i wasn’t asked :~) And deeply amused to go up to their room at bedtime and hear Fran shout “He’s on her again… go on Peter… go go go!!!!”

Still. I suppose it had educational value!

I’ve just read them “I’m not your friend” as they seem to have been saying that to each other all weekend (I’m inspired to try a unit!) and Moo gave Fran a very good explanation of why she said it to her earlier – I was impressed. Its a lovely book and Moo was so thoughtful at trying to explain to Fran that she said it to get some time to herself.

moo has not managed a poo on the toilet – but we have achieved sitting on the toilet while wearing a nappy to do one – which is a start… i think. i just felt really mean in the end and gave in – she was getting in such a pickle.

Oh yes and we have…. put shelves and clothes boxes into the girls built in cupboards, sorted toys in their room into boxes, thrown out some stuff, tidied the craft cupboard and bought 3 more sets of shelves for downstairs which now have all our “learning materials” on them. So its not been too bad i guess.

See how different you can make a weekend sound!
