Pooped again!

What a day! Sometimes when we have a social whirl for a few days, i start to long for quiet stay at home days again. Fran’s quiet afternoons have been virtually non-existant lately. Today, we fortunately (or unfortunately in that it was cancelled cos Kates daughter was ill) didn’t have skating or we would have never got through! As it was we were only 5 minutes late for art club and the big girls had a nice time although i got a bit frustrated trying to do stuff with them and wrestle Scruff who was angry and miserable. She hates trotting round after them being too young for things. The girl wove easter baskets and decorated eggs, made cards and mobiles and so on and all went well. Its in a Catholic church which you have to walk through to get to the toilet and Moo adored the stations and the big Jesus – she told daddy all about it. She seemed to perk up once we were there which was a relief as she was all “can’t move-ish” first thing and i had to dress her and take her to the loo and put her shoes on…. *grumpy humpfh*

The art club is just round the corner from Moo’s nursery so i was able to leave Fran and walk Moo round where she had a nice time, according to her anyway. Sadly the walk DIDN’T send grumpy Scruff off to sleep but i kept her quiet with biscuits!

We left after 3 hours and popped home for a bit. Fran and i read her Roman library book and she did some pattern drawings and a load of a writing practise workbook, off her own bat. She seems to be getting the idea of writing on the line and stuff now. TBH, given how little we focus on it, she does okay! The Roman book was excellent and inspired us both; then i got the local museum newsletter tonight and its FULL of Roman activities, so i must go and take them!

Picked Moo up, went and bought rabbit stuff and had a lovely time in the pet centre; Scruff was in heaven with all the fish. Finished off the day with me doing parcels and Fran playing Zeus while Max and the little ones shopped.
