Reader Rabbit, Rascal Rabbit and rabbiting on!

Well we had visitors today which was lovely – *waves to Ho-Jo’s* Lovely to see all the kids getting on as well as they ever did, if not better :~) Enjoy your beads :~)

On either side of that the big girls played a fair bit of Reader Rabbit, a maths one aimed at 6-8 year olds and covering fractions, various sum types, graphs and money. They both did pretty well and i was really chuffed to see Fran hanging over Moo’s chair back and helping her do the harder bits. Its not a particularly intuitive programme, some of the games are very obscure and it was nice to see her obviously understanding it herself (sometimes with my help initially) and then passing that on to Moo, who can do the games but can’t always grasp the point of it initially.

Asides from that they trashed one bedroom and made a huge mess with a load of toys, so while they all played a monumental imaginary game with playdough, i “tidied” and got rid of a bin bag full of stuff – i shall be doing more of that. I made £100 on ebay tonight – have got the bug again! They have played beautifully today though – i was very proud of them, and they just watch no tv these days, voluntarily – in fact, i bloomin’ wish they would sometimes! ;~)

Scruff did not manage her bed last night. Max and i woke up to find her sat on our pillow singing “twinkle twinkle” and she then pottered off to try and get Fran up – who told her to shove off cos it was the middle of the night! Although this morning she was trying to convince us Scruff had switched her light on, which given she is about half the height of the switch, was quite funny. Fran seems to have acquired a sense of the dramatic! ;~)

However, Scruff has redeemed herself by doing a poo on the toilet tonight. Mrs HoJo pointed out that a child who walks up to you clutching her bottom and saying poo is asking to be potty trained, so tonight when she did it i held her over the loo, expecting maybe a wee – but she went one better!!!!!

Oh yes.. .the rabbit has eaten her way out of the hutch. Honestly…..
