Recalling that i hate half term!

No blooming parking spaces and queues in the shoe shop – bleugh.

Still – got up and did a bit of a tidy up of bedrooms- Fran has kept her word and kept her room tidy so i ordered her a Twist and Shout with my Amazon gift voucher – (i LOVE my Amazon gift voucher!) – she can have it for when we go down to Reading if she keeps it up for the last 10 days. I had quite a big one this time and i try to only ever spend it on the girls so i got the addition and multiplication one, the DK Alice game and a couple of books. I also got a game, Zeus, which i will like and fran might too and a bigger camera card. That will have to be the end of retail therapy for a while. lol. Still better to get it all over and done with.

We dropped Moo off at nursery for a drop in and me Fran and Scruff went into town. We needed to source some “stuff” which we did fairly quickly but inadvertantly came home with Guess Who – still , they have played it solidly since! We also indulged in a small stamp collector starter pack which we thoguht we might do and find the countries on the map. *hits back with rod made by own fair hands*

Then we went into the Cathedral, its mostly restored now and you can get to bits you couldn’t before and see its painted ceiling. We went to see Catherine of Aragon who had roses and a pomegranate on her grave, found the previous resting place of Mary Queen of Scots and examined lots of tombs and so on. Peterborough Cathedral was apparently sacked by Cromwell’s army and lots of it has been left damaged.

Got home to a parcel of LeapPad books that a good American friend sent over and have been indulging in “Hit it Maestro!!!!” – Moo rapping and mixing the Hallelujah chorus has to be heard. Fran has adored that one and the 3rd Grade History one and Ammi is in delight over the Dora one!!!

Finished off with Fran making a really good stab at helping me make bead mixes up! Bless her again!
