Yep… still good…

Moo’s box – its actually a lovely pink shiny colour but it didn’t come out so well on camera – she is very proud.

So – another good day where i feel good about what we are doing and so do the girls. This morning i managed to get up quite early and by 9 the house was looking fairly tidy really. Put away the washing mountain (which resembles nothing so much as the talking rubbish heap in Fraggle Rock!!!!) – we have everyones clothes cupboards in our room so that a) they don’t pull out a million things and leave them all over the floor and b) its easy to get it all away quickly! Shame we never seem to get round to b) and shame they still seem to do a)!!!! Ah well….

Moo retreated to her room to play an intricate game with a Barbie, several My Little Ponies and a T-Rex – she was completely absorbed and i had to take her lunch to her there- getting her to nursery was a major effort today. She is coming home with bags full of wet knickers from there and having to use the potty at home but otherwise she seems a bit calmer. This afternoon she went to huge effort to make a “party table” and we all ate tea at it!!!! Bless…

Fran has had another busy day – she completed the RR game again, this time doing lots of the levels a good bit more competently – her sounding out, di-graphs, money work and so on was really good. She also let me sit and watch her and didn’t ask for help or stop, which was nice for a change. I enjoyed seeing her coping so well with doing things that were a challenge; she normally resists them.

After Moo had gone out she and i did some cooking, nothing fancy but we made up a big vat of tomato and tuna pasta sauce and she peeled all the onions (“Ogres are like onions.. they have layers!!!!”) asked if they made you cry to protect themselves, blended the tomatos, recycled all the tins (“Recycling is what Bob the Builder does Mamma”) and then ate frozen sweetcorn for lunch.. with a jacket potato! (WEIRD!!!) While i was making our lunch she worked through all the Finding Nemo LeapPad book, including the learn-y bits and games. Moo creased me up today because every time she was concentrating she was singing “Just keep swimming!” under her breath! ROFL!!!! Fran and I also looked at the dolphin and whale bits of the Mammal LP book too – Fran does an awesome dolphin impression through her cleft! We also finished the dolphin unit study and looked through our DK Animal book for the species it mentioned – she wants whale and dolphin matching cards next – so i have been making those this evening as well as downloading “Night of the Moonjellies” from Amazon as an e-book for pure novelty value! *shakes head at self!* Finished off with an acrobatic display of how a spinner dolphin moves from Fran.

This evening she and daddy worked through the underwater classroom on theFinding Nemo site – excellent it is – i think we might move on to coral reefs and stuff soon. Wonder how long it is till Nemo is out on DVD? *ponders spending opportunity in the name of education*

Car is getting sicker – quote now stands at £350 and can’t be done till Tuesday so we have had to put off our holiday to Centerparcs – thank goodness for the insurance we took out!!!! Still – the upside is i can get ahead on beads, i have listed some stuff on ebay and i have time to lose a lb or two before we go.
