When the playdough is out, you can guarantee Moo will make biscuits!!!!

She got very engrossed…

and made lovely angel “biscuits” too!

Playdough was a big hit today – we bought a pack of 12 pots from toys r us which is lovely and soft and great colours and very cheap and they had good fun (the pots are excellent hama pots too!!!!!) Fran is normally quickly bored of playdough, which is a shame as we have lovely “bits” to play with it – but today i gave her the camera to record what she made and she really enjoyed herself! As you can see from below, a large number of critters were spotted…

I guess it a way the opportunity for her to record her own work is one i should encourage – she takes quite a good picture really – the joy of digital cameras and instant feedback i guess! A big hit was a shell press mould that came in a soap making kit – she had a good hours fun with that!

Here are Moo’s second batch of shape pictures…

and a pattern Fran did on a Perler board…

and todays effort of a rather gorgeous jewellery box that came in a grab bag from craft depot I love that place – £15 for a bag of stuff that included a lovely woooden box, sparkly whale and dolphin stickers and pearlised paint – and about 30 other things too – they are awesome. She is really really proud of this.

We also found Webland units on dolphins and sharks archived in our back issues and did both of those and one on Native Americans. Then we went through all our craft stuff and worked out what we could do what with and finished off with the first half of a SchoolExpress Dolphin unit.

Got ready to collect Moo and go for a walk round the park (another resolution!) but the car was deader than a dodo – panicked but managed to get a staff member or 2 to bring her home which was lucky – car will undoubtedly cost a fortune (grrrrr…….it must have heard us talking!) So instead we watched The Lion King (Scruff has found the video cupboard and has a liking for Disney, especially Pooh Bear!) and then everyone did more Leap Pad. We all looked at the Mammals one then the big two played on Scruffs and Scruff and I did Nemo…. something has gone wrong here….. *laughs ironically!* Moo wanted to do a box like Frans and i had a spare opitec box to hand which she painted pearlised pink (very well too!) and has picked out foam hearts to decorate it with tomorrow.
