That feeling of fresh sheets!!!!

Just about summed up how today felt really – it was very positive. One of my resolutions was not to sit down at the Pooter first thing in the morning so today i was up early for the workman who had to fix the cupboard ceiling *rolls eyes* and we were all “at” something by just after 9am. First of all Fran did a bead pattern and followed a design sheet right throguh – she hasn’t done anything for ages really and took a bit of encouraging to get to the end, but she was really pleased when she did. Moo also tried to follow a pattern for a girl today; she did well but lost interest.

While Fran was beading Moo did more shape pictures – she was completely engrossed for ages and SO proud of the results – it was all i could do not to squeeze her with delight to be honest!!!! I have photos so i’ll update them tomorrow! Moo also did the stickers from the Nature Trails mags that arrived – that is another resource i must make more of this year.

Then they all sat and did the Reader Rabbit reading game – big two took it in turns and Scruff watched in awe. Fran seemed to play most of the day actually on and off and by the end was obviously really knowing some of the words.. thats a good start to the goals!

During the day an enormous HEAP of Leap Pad stuff arrived – Scruffs My First Leap Pad, a set of books i got with my earnings from Amazon and 2 i ordered from ebay – all at once! We played the Nemo and Princesses one and let Scruff loose on hers. I think it was a success although at one point the bg 2 were on hers and she was on theirs! lol! Oh well – best laid plans…. Its very sweet and she and i sat down with it in the afternoon and played – she seemed slightly pathetically chuffed i was giving her 1-2-1 time.. i wonder if she actually knows i am her mother…. *ponders worriedly*

What else happened? We got out the telescopic viewer and looked at some kitchen roll with it – i need ideas here on things to “look” at – its not very very strong but we could see the paper fibres okay – what can we look at?

Oh yes – Fran used the puzzle sums and did all the adding ones – unfortunately Scruff woke up before we could work on the take aways properly but we have other days…

Finished up by needing to get home start out to the car cos the fuel line had air in it.. .Steve… gear up to sell me that people carrier!!!!!!
