I’m not totally sure about Valentine’s Day, if I’m really honest; Max and I don’t do it and none of the girls seem particularly bothered either so I was slightly surprised by the verve with which the girls set about our first Bostik Craft Pack. Perhaps I’ve just not noticed their longing to produced handcrafted love tokens all these years! 😉
Just for fun, we added some of our own favourite crafting materials into the mix We had sparkly red felt, so added some plain and Maddy used a Hama Bead Bear Board to cut out a shape which she blanket stitched the edge of and added some card and sparkly embellishments to. Josie got into the sheets of foam in a big way (I love fun foam, I really do!) even though Maddy had also snaffled the big sparkly heart foam. Josie used some cookie cutters we bought the other week to make the shapes.
(I can’t resist adding this picture, as it is very pretty but she used the heart versions 😉 ) Both of them added stamping with little alphabet stamps to their cards; I never find stamping easy but it is a great way to practise being neat and they did a far better job than I do!
My contribution was some suitably themed embellishments I made from Fimo a while back but never used. Sticking them quickly to folded card made for a pretty but plain look; I wish I had added some watercolour wash underneath them now. However, the main point was to try out the Bostik All Purpose Glue and Bostik Glue Dots, both of which did really well.
Crafting is sadly lower on my list of things we achieve than I’d like at the moment and I seem to be doing a lot of it virtually. I’ve got a small Valentine pinboard though which you might like.
I’m loving the heart bookmarks Mum in the Madhouse has made as part of this project which comes to you courtesy of the Tots100 & Bostik
Disclosure: some elements of this craft activity were sent to us free.

Hi there,
I really like your blog so I’ve added a direct link from my blog to yours. I’d really appreciate you looking at mine and giving me any yips. I’ve only just begun. If you like it, perhaps you could like/follow/comment it? Or, it’d be great to have a link from your to mine as well.
Thanks. Keep up the great blogging. 🙂

I agree. Valentines is a big pain in the butt. I’d be quite happy to ignore but other half gets the sulks if not presented with a shop bought expensive card. Not been on my agenda since uni days when was good excuse to go out for a posher dinner than usual.
Tried glue dots – different brand – for the first time yesterday. Really good for sticking jewels to a crown for toddler. No mess and bond really well. Not sure would replace glue for most things though as are expensive.

Thank you for featuring us. The boys had great fun making them. We never made a big thing of valentines, but it is on the boys radar and they enjoy it. They insist that we all have a special valentines meal and they make cards for their Daddy!
You girls are very talented Merry.
